Small Stuffed Animal
Putting a small stuffed toy in our kits help give a comforting, familiar, presence which can help counter the cold and sterile environment of an ICU. A stuffed animal can feel like a silent friend, always there for the patient during a difficult time. For the people we serve, it's a tangible reminder that they are a person, not just a patient.

Handwritten Cards
A small handwritten card will be included in the kit, offering powerful words of hope and positivity that can help a patient feel supported through one of the hardest times of their lives. A handwritten card adds a human touch to the otherwise sterile environment of an ICU.

Stress Toys
Stress toys like fidget items or textured objects can provide stress and anxiety relief through physical stimulation. The repetitive motion of squeezing or playing with a stress toy can also have a calming effect on the patients we serve. It can also help redirect the patient's focus away from the pain they are feeling and give them a means to recover from debilitating injuries or sicknesses.
